In response to a blatant violation of the ceasefire and a direct threat to Israeli civilians, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched a series of precision airstrikes in southern Lebanon in recent hours. The targets included Hezbollah military infrastructure, command centers, rocket launchers, and terrorist operatives responsible for recent aggression against Israel.

The strikes come after Hezbollah fired rockets this morning at Israel’s Upper Galilee region, endangering civilian communities and violating existing understandings between the two countries. The IDF emphasized that Lebanon bears full responsibility for maintaining the ceasefire agreement and preventing terror groups from operating freely within its borders.

“This morning’s rocket fire constitutes a gross breach of the understandings with Lebanon and a direct threat to Israel’s home front,” the IDF said in a statement. “We will not tolerate any aggression.”

Footage released by the military showed the destruction of several Hezbollah assets, including launch platforms and military compounds used by the Iranian-backed terrorist group to coordinate attacks against Israel.

The IDF reaffirmed its commitment to defending Israeli sovereignty and protecting its citizens, stating that operations will continue as needed to eliminate threats from Lebanon and ensure security in the north.

Israel has made clear in recent weeks that any Hezbollah aggression—no matter how minor—will be met with force. “The days of restraint are over,” said an Israeli official. “Hezbollah’s provocations will be answered decisively, and the Lebanese government will be held accountable for its failure to rein in terrorism within its territory.”
