In a sweeping counterterrorism campaign across Judea and Samaria this past week, Israeli security forces arrested approximately 80 terror suspects and confiscated dozens of illegal weapons, explosives, and ammunition. The operations, part of the IDF’s ongoing mission to thwart imminent threats, targeted known hotbeds of terrorist activity, with a focus on protecting Israeli civilians from daily violence and planned attacks.

Among the arrested were three terrorists from Silwad, who had been regularly attacking Israeli vehicles on Route 60 by hurling rocks and endangering lives. These individuals were captured in a precise operation by the Binyamin Brigade, closing a dangerous circle of repeated assaults that had become a routine hazard for drivers.

In another major development, Israeli forces conducted targeted operations in Balata, a known terror hub within Shechem (Nablus), arresting multiple wanted individuals linked to recent attacks. Today, in the village of Jabal Shamali, IDF troops seized an M-16 rifle from a terrorist apprehended earlier in the week. The weapon, used in prior assaults, will undergo forensic analysis.

All detainees and confiscated weapons have been transferred to the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) and the Central Unit of the Shai District for further interrogation.

This latest wave of arrests highlights the ever-present threat facing Israel—not only from Gaza or Hezbollah in Lebanon but also from terror cells operating within Judea and Samaria, often incited and funded by Iran’s terror network. Since the October 7 massacre, which claimed the lives of over 1,163 Israelis and launched a multi-front war against Hamas, the IDF has been on high alert, neutralizing threats across all fronts—from Gaza to Syria, and from the Lebanese border to deep inside Judea and Samaria.

As Israel continues its defensive war against Iran-backed terrorism, these operations are essential to maintaining security and preventing further bloodshed. Every arrest and weapon seizure is a step toward dismantling the infrastructure of terror embedded in the region.
