Iran-backed Houthi terrorists in Yemen launched a ballistic missile tonight toward central Israel, triggering widespread air raid sirens across Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, the Shfela region, and the greater Dan area.
The rocket alert covered dozens of towns and cities, endangering over 7 million Israeli civilians.

The IDF confirmed that the missile was intercepted by the Arrow 3 missile defense system, part of Israel’s multi-layered air defense network. The system engaged and destroyed the incoming ballistic missile outside of Israeli airspace, preventing any casualties or damage.
“This was a direct attempt to murder civilians on a massive scale,” said a senior defense official. “The only reason tonight didn’t end in mass tragedy is because of Israel’s world-class defense architecture—especially Arrow 3, which once again proved its unmatched capabilities.”
Despite the successful interception, the implications are grave. This marks yet another direct strike attempt from the Houthi terrorist organization—an Iranian proxy—whose weapons and orders come directly from Tehran. Tonight’s launch was not an isolated event; it is part of Iran’s broader war on Israel, waged from every direction: Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Yemen—and soon, perhaps, Iran itself.
The Houthis have repeatedly launched missiles at Israeli cities throughout the Iron Swords War, indiscriminately targeting civilian populations, airports, and industrial zones. The goal is clear: to terrorize, to kill, and to destroy the Jewish state.
While the United Nations and international bodies continue to condemn Israel’s defensive actions, they remain silent as Iranian missiles rain down on Israeli homes. Not a single UN resolution has condemned the Houthis for these war crimes—nor their sponsors in Tehran.
This latest attack comes just hours after Defense Minister Israel Katz warned that Israel would continue expanding operations to dismantle Iran’s entire terror axis. “There will be no safe zone, neither in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, nor Yemen,” he stated earlier this week.
The IDF remains on high alert. Additional missile launches from Yemen or other Iranian proxies remain a possibility in the coming hours.
