Iran Threatens U.S. with Missile Retaliation After Trump’s Warning

Iran threatens the U.S. with underground missile attacks after Trump’s warning, escalating tensions in a dangerous new confrontation.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has issued a direct threat to the United States, declaring that its long-range missiles are “loaded and ready” in fortified underground silos. This provocative statement comes in response to former President Donald Trump’s warning that any Iranian aggression would be met with overwhelming U.S. force, including the possibility of bombing Iranian targets.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the world’s largest state-sponsored terrorist organization, announced that it has placed its missile units on full combat readiness. In a chilling message broadcast on Iranian state television, an IRGC commander warned: “Our missiles are locked, and our enemies will pay a heavy price if they dare to act.” The message is a clear response to Trump’s vow to “bomb Iran into oblivion” if the regime continues its campaign of terror and provocation against U.S. interests and allies.

This threat is not empty rhetoric. Iran possesses an extensive network of underground missile facilities—known as the “missile cities”—buried deep beneath mountains and reinforced bunkers. These bases house hundreds of Shahab-3, Emad, and other long-range ballistic missiles capable of reaching not only Israel but American military assets across the Middle East. Iran’s message is a blatant attempt to intimidate and test U.S. resolve, all while continuing its aggressive push for regional dominance.

Trump, since returning to office in January 2025, has adopted a zero-tolerance approach to Iranian threats. After years of appeasement under the Biden administration, which saw Iran emboldened and flush with sanctions relief, Trump reversed course—restoring sanctions, authorizing arms packages to Israel, and issuing clear red lines. Last week, he stated: “If Iran attacks our troops or our allies, we will not hesitate to strike their missile facilities, their command centers, and their terror infrastructure.”

Iran’s threat follows a series of humiliating defeats. Israel’s Operation Days of Repentance destroyed Iranian air defenses and exposed Tehran’s vulnerabilities. Now, Iran is trying to save face by threatening the U.S.—a desperate move that only underscores the regime’s fear of renewed American strength.

The international community must recognize this for what it is: a terrorist regime, armed by Russia, emboldened by years of weak diplomacy, now threatening nuclear war. Iran’s missile threat is not just a regional concern—it is a global wake-up call.

As the Biden-era policies are rolled back and U.S. deterrence is restored, Tehran is learning that its days of unchecked aggression are over. The United States, under Trump, is standing with Israel, confronting Iran’s axis of terror, and sending a clear message: if Iran launches its missiles, it won’t live to launch another.

This is a moment of reckoning. The world must choose between appeasing terrorists or confronting them. Iran has chosen escalation. The West must now respond with strength.
