518 Days of Captivity

Today marks 518 days since the October 7 massacre, when Hamas terrorists stormed Israel, massacring over 1,163 people and abducting 251 hostages into Gaza. While many have been returned—through painful and unjust deals that saw hundreds of terrorists freed in exchange for innocent civilians—24 hostages remain in Hamas’ grip. Each day they spend in captivity is another day of torture, starvation, and abuse at the hands of barbaric terrorists who view human lives as bargaining chips.

The names and faces of these 24 must never fade from our consciousness:

Elkana Bohbot, Matan Angrest, Edan Alexander, Avinatan Or, Yosef-Haim Ohana, Alon Ohel.
Evyatar David, Guy Gilboa-Dalal, Bipin Joshi, Rom Braslavski, Ziv Berman, Gali Berman.
Omri Miran, Eitan Mor, Segev Kalfon, Nimrod Cohen, Maxim Herkin, Eitan Horn.
Matan Zangauker, Bar Kupershtein, David Cunio, Ariel Cunio, Tamir Nimrodi, Pinta Nattapong.

Look at them. Remember them. They are still there.

The Inhumanity of Their Captivity

We know what Hamas is doing to them. The testimonies of released hostages reveal horrors beyond imagination. These men are not merely being held—they are being tortured, beaten, starved, and psychologically tormented. Hamas has already executed some hostages, broadcasting their murders to terrorize Israeli families. Others have died due to medical neglect, their bodies left to rot in Hamas’ underground dungeons.

Despite irrefutable evidence of Hamas’ war crimes, the world remains largely silent. International organizations, the UN, and human rights groups that claim to champion justice refuse to demand Hamas’ unconditional surrender of the hostages. Instead, they call for ceasefires—ceasefires that only serve to prolong Hamas’ reign of terror and increase the suffering of those still in captivity.

A Plea to Heaven and Earth

We must not remain silent. We must not accept a reality in which Israeli civilians are left to rot in terrorist tunnels while the world moves on. Today, we pray with all our heart for their safe return. We cry out to G-d to break the chains that bind them, to rescue them from the demons that hold them hostage.

Hashem, save them. Bring them home. Let not one remain behind. 💔
