Footage circulating on social media today revealed the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) demolishing the Turkish-Palestinian Friendship Hospital in central Gaza—a site long exploited by Hamas for terrorist purposes.

The IDF, while not immediately commenting, has previously exposed how the so-called “hospital” served as a Hamas military base. The Washington Post earlier confirmed that the IDF used the facility during operations in the Netzarim Corridor and had uncovered an extensive Hamas tunnel network running beneath it. Today’s strike, captured on video, marks the final dismantling of this terror hub.

Israel’s military liaison to the Palestinians, COGAT, stated unequivocally: “Hamas terrorists exploited the Turkish hospital as a command and control center, from which they directed attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians. The IDF operated in response to dismantle the terrorist infrastructure.”

This is not the first time Hamas has used hospitals, schools, and civilian centers as shields for its military operations—a flagrant war crime and a core tactic in its playbook of terror. In Al-Shifa Hospital, for example, Hamas embedded command posts beneath maternity wards, using civilians as human shields to deter Israeli airstrikes.

The destruction of the Turkish hospital is a stark reminder of Hamas’ ruthless exploitation of humanitarian infrastructure for war. These are not isolated incidents, but part of a deliberate strategy to weaponize civilian suffering in its propaganda war against Israel.

Let there be no confusion: Israel did not target a hospital. Israel targeted a Hamas military headquarters cynically masquerading as a hospital. The real crime lies not in the IDF’s precision strike, but in Hamas’ systematic militarization of civilian sites—endangering lives in Gaza while attacking Israel.

Since the October 7 massacre, in which over 1,160 Israelis were slaughtered in the worst terrorist attack on Jews since the Holocaust, Israel has been engaged in a war for its very survival. Hamas and its Iranian backers have transformed every corner of Gaza into a battlefield—from tunnels under schools to rocket launchers inside UN facilities. And yet, every Israeli strike is framed by global media and institutions as “aggression,” while Hamas’ crimes go largely unchallenged.

The destruction of this terror command center is not just a tactical victory—it is a moral necessity. As long as Hamas is allowed to embed itself in civilian infrastructure and escape accountability, the people of Gaza will continue to suffer, and peace will remain impossible.

Israel will continue to dismantle Hamas’ terror infrastructure—whether it hides in mosques, schools, or foreign-funded hospitals. And the world must finally ask: who is truly responsible for the devastation in Gaza—the one dismantling terror, or the one hiding behind the innocent?
