he Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched a new ground operation in Beit Hanoun, in northern Gaza, on Saturday as part of a broader effort to dismantle Hamas terror infrastructure and expand the security buffer zone near Israel’s border.

According to military sources, the IDF is targeting Hamas’ operational and logistical assets in the area, including tunnel shafts, weapons depots, and command posts embedded within civilian areas—a hallmark of Hamas’ strategy to endanger its own population.

“The goal is clear: to eliminate Hamas terror infrastructure and create a wider security perimeter in northern Gaza,” said an IDF spokesperson.

During the operation, Israeli Air Force fighter jets struck multiple terror targets belonging to Hamas in the Beit Hanoun area. These included military installations, launch sites, and storage facilities used by the terror group to carry out attacks on Israeli communities.

In a move demonstrating its continued adherence to humanitarian standards—even while fighting an enemy that hides behind civilians—the IDF has allowed and encouraged civilians to evacuate the combat zone in Beit Hanoun to ensure their safety.

Ongoing Mission: Defend Israel, Dismantle Hamas, Bring Our People Home

The operation is part of Israel’s ongoing campaign to eliminate the Hamas threat once and for all, following the October 7 massacre that left over 1,160 Israelis dead and more than 250 kidnapped. Since that day, Hamas has continued launching rockets at Israeli civilians while using its own people as human shields.

Despite international pressure and biased criticism, the IDF remains resolute: Israel has the right and obligation to defend its people, and that includes neutralizing every terror cell, tunnel, and weapons stockpile in Gaza.

“We will continue operating wherever necessary to protect the citizens of the State of Israel,” the IDF stated.

As Israel expands its control in northern Gaza, it sends a clear message to Hamas and its Iranian backers: your terror infrastructure will be dismantled, your safe havens destroyed, and your genocidal ambitions crushed.
