Hamas’ so-called Ministry of Health has quietly removed over 3,400 previously “confirmed” deaths from its official fatality list in Gaza—including 1,080 children. The deleted names, once cited as verified casualties in international court cases, media coverage, and UN reports, now appear to have never existed.
The updated list, released in March 2025, starkly contradicts earlier reports from August and October 2024 in which Hamas claimed these individuals had died in Israeli airstrikes. Their sudden disappearance raises serious questions: Were these people missing, miscounted—or were they never dead to begin with?
What is becoming clear is that this was intentional deception by Hamas, a terror organization long known for manipulating data to wage a propaganda war against Israel.
Fabricated Deaths, Manufactured Outrage
The implications are enormous. These figures were not mere statistics—they were used as political weapons. The now-vanished names were cited by South Africa in its genocide case against Israel at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), and they formed part of the basis for the International Criminal Court (ICC) Prosecutor’s request for arrest warrants against Israeli leaders. Human rights groups, journalists, and international institutions all parroted Hamas’ inflated casualty claims, sparking protests, diplomatic pressure, and UN condemnations.
But these “confirmed deaths” were a lie. And it’s not the first time.
Hamas’ data manipulation is well documented. In October 2023, the terror group falsely blamed Israel for the deaths of 471 people in an explosion at the al-Ahli Hospital—an incident later proven to be caused by a misfired Islamic Jihad rocket. Yet the fabricated death toll remained in Hamas’ official count, never retracted.
Hamas also previously claimed that 70% of Gaza fatalities were women and children—a figure repeated endlessly by global media. That claim, too, was later walked back, with Hamas quietly altering its casualty demographic without acknowledgment or accountability.
The Data: Falsified, Recycled, Manipulated
According to military intelligence and independent researchers, Hamas’ March 2025 update includes approximately 8,000 natural deaths and many individuals with no link to combat. There’s also growing evidence that Hamas has been using real civilian names to pad false death reports, later removing them when international scrutiny intensifies.
In other words, Hamas is not keeping a separate list of war-related deaths. It is inflating a total count—mixing battlefield casualties, terror operatives, civilians, and even the living—then retroactively editing the list as needed to maintain a political narrative.
“This is not clerical error—it’s psychological warfare,” said a senior Israeli official. “Hamas manufactures suffering for global consumption. They weaponize the dead, even when the dead don’t exist.”
A Pattern of Propaganda
Legal experts and security analysts have long warned that Hamas exploits casualty figures to frame Israel for crimes it didn’t commit. Meanwhile, the IDF takes extraordinary steps to minimize civilian casualties—including warning civilians before strikes, using precision-guided munitions, and establishing humanitarian corridors.
The truth is that Hamas embeds its fighters in schools, mosques, and hospitals. It stores rockets in civilian homes and uses children as shields. It has turned Gaza’s population into pawns—and its own lies into headlines.
Yet many in the international community continue to treat Hamas’ Ministry of Health as a credible source. That must end now.
“This isn’t just a correction—it’s a confession,” said legal analyst Natasha Hausdorff. “Hamas has exposed itself as a habitual liar, and everyone who cited its data has a duty to retract.”
The Truth Is Out—Will the World Listen?
This bombshell revelation confirms what Israel has said from day one: the casualty numbers coming out of Gaza are not reliable—they are manipulated, politicized, and sometimes entirely fabricated.
Yes, war causes tragedy. Yes, innocent lives have been lost. But the world cannot achieve justice by building it on lies. If the international community wants truth, it must stop outsourcing its moral outrage to a terror regime that lies as easily as it kills.
