The IDF and Shin Bet conducted a targeted strike on Wednesday against a Hamas command and control compound and key meeting site in the Jabaliya area of northern Gaza. The operation resulted in the elimination of multiple senior Hamas terrorists, including operatives directly involved in the October 7 massacre.

Following an intelligence-led investigation, it was confirmed that the strike killed Shadi Diab Abd al-Hamid Falouji, a terrorist from Hamas’ East Jabaliya Battalion who infiltrated Israeli territory and actively participated in the mass murder of civilians during the October 7 attack.

Additional Terrorists Eliminated

Alongside Falouji, three other senior Hamas operatives were killed in the operation:

  • Mohammed Sharif – A member of Hamas’ General Security, who was involved in the cynical propaganda event surrounding the staged release of kidnapped IDF soldier Agam Berger.
  • Mohammed Hani Atiya Daour – Head of a Hamas rocket cell, responsible for launching attacks on Israeli civilians.
  • Mohammed Issa Mahmoud Askari – A terrorist affiliated with Hamas’ Northern Brigade rocket division and its General Security apparatus.

Minimizing Civilian Risk

The IDF emphasized that extensive precautions were taken prior to the strike to avoid civilian casualties, including real-time aerial surveillance and corroborated intelligence data. The operation was conducted in accordance with international law, despite Hamas’ continued use of civilian infrastructure and human shields—a direct violation of humanitarian norms.

“Hamas systematically violates international law by embedding its operatives in civilian areas and institutions, using their own people as cover for terror,” the IDF stated.

Part of Ongoing Effort to Dismantle Hamas

This operation is part of the broader Israeli strategy to eliminate Hamas leadership, destroy its military capabilities, and exact justice for the October 7 atrocities, which left over 1,100 people murdered and more than 250 taken hostage.

Israel has pledged that every terrorist involved in the massacre will be hunted down—no matter how long it takes. This latest strike underscores that justice is being served, and Hamas leaders cannot hide behind civilians or symbols.

With precise intelligence and strategic execution, Israel continues to dismantle the Hamas terror network while holding accountable those responsible for the worst mass killing of Jews since the Holocaust. As long as Hamas persists in using civilians as shields and refuses to release the remaining hostages, the IDF and Shin Bet will act to protect Israeli lives and uphold national security.
