IDF’s 36th Division has resumed operations in the Gaza Strip, beginning its mission in the Morag Corridor—a sector where Israeli forces are operating for the first time since the start of the war.

This renewed deployment marks a strategic move as Israel intensifies its efforts to uproot remaining terrorist infrastructure across Rafah and southern Gaza. According to the IDF, the division’s operations are being conducted in parallel with ongoing missions in other sectors of Gaza and beyond, highlighting the IDF’s multi-front capabilities and resilience.

Within just a few days of entering the Morag Corridor, the division has already achieved significant results, locating hidden weapons caches and eliminating dozens of terrorists with the support of the division’s integrated firepower units.

The area around Rafah, known for being a stronghold of Hamas’ remaining operatives and smuggling tunnels, has become a primary target for Israel’s final phase in dismantling Gaza’s terror network. The 36th Division’s mission focuses on locating and destroying any remaining military infrastructure, ensuring Hamas and other Iranian-backed terror groups cannot regroup or rearm.

This latest deployment underscores the IDF’s strategic depth and operational adaptability, as it continues to neutralize threats in Gaza while also maintaining readiness on the Lebanese, Syrian, and Yemeni fronts.

As the operation unfolds, the message from the IDF remains consistent: No corner of Gaza will be safe for terrorists. Israel will continue to act, decisively and relentlessly, until its citizens are safe and its enemies are defeated.
