In a decisive move to restore global stability, President Donald Trump has ordered a massive military campaign against the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorists in Yemen. The operation comes after months of unchecked aggression in the Red Sea, where the Houthis have waged a relentless war against commercial shipping, U.S. naval assets, and global trade routes.

Trump’s Message to the Houthis: ‘Hell Will Rain Down Upon You’

Before the operation began, Trump issued a stark warning to the Houthis:

“YOUR TIME IS UP, AND YOUR ATTACKS MUST STOP, STARTING TODAY. IF THEY DON’T, HELL WILL RAIN DOWN UPON YOU LIKE NOTHING YOU HAVE EVER SEEN BEFORE!”

This warning was not an empty threat. The strikes have now begun, marking the start of what U.S. officials describe as a “sustained campaign” to eliminate the Houthi threat. The campaign is expected to last for days or even weeks, targeting the terrorist infrastructure across Yemen.

Trump’s Full Statement on the Military Action

Trump emphasized that his administration would no longer tolerate Iran’s proxies holding global trade hostage:

“Today, I have ordered the United States Military to launch decisive and powerful Military action against the Houthi terrorists in Yemen. They have waged an unrelenting campaign of piracy, violence, and terrorism against American, and other, ships, aircraft, and drones.

“Joe Biden’s response was pathetically weak, so the unrestrained Houthis just kept going. It has been over a year since a U.S.-flagged commercial ship safely sailed through the Suez Canal, the Red Sea, or the Gulf of Aden. The last American warship to go through the Red Sea, four months ago, was attacked by the Houthis over a dozen times.

“Funded by Iran, the Houthi thugs have fired missiles at U.S. aircraft, and targeted our Troops and Allies. These relentless assaults have cost the U.S. and World Economy many BILLIONS of Dollars while, at the same time, putting innocent lives at risk.

“The Houthi attack on American vessels will not be tolerated. We will use overwhelming lethal force until we have achieved our objective.

“To Iran: Support for the Houthi terrorists must end IMMEDIATELY! Do NOT threaten the American People, their President, who has received one of the largest mandates in Presidential History, or Worldwide shipping lanes. If you do, BEWARE, because America will hold you fully accountable, and we won’t be nice about it!”

U.S. Military Strikes

The U.S. military has already conducted multiple waves of airstrikes across four key areas in Yemen:

  • Sanaa – The capital and political center of the Houthis
  • Saada – A Houthi stronghold in northern Yemen
  • Dhamar – A critical military hub in central Yemen
  • Al-Bayda – A strategic city in central Yemen

According to the Houthi-run Health Ministry, the strikes have killed at least 13 terrorists and wounded nine more so far.

Houthi Response

Unsurprisingly, the Houthis have responded with their usual defiance. Senior Houthi spokesman Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti declared:

“We will meet escalation with escalation, and the one who starts it is the most unjust.”

Another Houthi leader went even further, calling the U.S. strikes an “unjustified act of aggression” and vowing to continue attacking international shipping.

One senior Houthi member made it clear that their forces have no intention of backing down:

“It’s either victory or martyrdom.”

Iran’s Role in the Houthi Terror Campaign

The Houthis do not act alone. They are a direct proxy of the Iranian regime, funded and armed by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Iran’s goal has been clear: to destabilize the region, attack Western interests, and ultimately use the Houthis as a tool to wage war against Israel and the United States.

Trump’s military response is the first real effort to dismantle the Iranian terror network in Yemen. Unlike Biden’s weak symbolic strikes, which only emboldened the Houthis, Trump has restored deterrence by making it clear that further Houthi aggression will result in total destruction.

What’s Next?

A senior U.S. official has confirmed that this is just the beginning. More strikes are expected in the coming days, with the goal of eliminating the Houthis’ ability to disrupt global trade.

At the same time, Trump’s White House is sending a strong message to Iran: If they continue to back terrorist proxies across the Middle East, they will pay a heavy price.

The USS Gravely, an Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer, has also been deployed—not to Yemen, but to assist in securing the U.S. southern border. This move underscores Trump’s broader national security agenda: protecting America both at home and abroad.
